Classroom Resource Packs 

These packs have been developed to introduce schools to the resources in St Helens Local History & Archives.  They are designed for Key Stage 2, although parts could be adapted for KS1, KS3 and SEN to aid teaching History, including elements of English, Geography and Art.  The packs include suggestions of activities to do at school, alongside copies of original archival documents that pupils can explore. 

The packs can also be accessed and used by individuals of any age who are interested in learning more about local history.

Lights! Camera! Animate! Heritage Animation Workshops

A number of primary, SEN and secondary schools took part in free animation workshops as part of the St Helens Community Archive project. Pupils used archive images to inspire stories, create a storyboard, make characters and produce animated films. A selection of these films can be viewed here.
