Granny (short film about Lizzy Ashcroft)

This short film, written by Michelle Crane and directed by Francis Castelli, celebrates the life of Lizzy Ashcroft who played for the Dick Kerr Ladies football team, during WW1 and for 14 years. The team played for 48 years despite, in 1921 an FA ban on women's football being played on their pitches. The ban was not lifted until 1971.
