Members of the St Helens & District History group say

Top Photo is from roughly 1974
Floodlights on the corner of the taller building in the lower picture and the metal fence look like the fencing that has been around since at least the 70’s.

The top-looking picture seems to have electric lighting poles along the road on the right-hand side

Top pic shows Jubits Lane going over the M62, which only opened mid 1974.

The bottom Photo is from around 1991
The bottom one is showing the new winder on number one shaft which was put in late eighties the colliery closed in 91
