Haydock Club Fire
A Haydock Police Man on patrol today saw flames issuing from the boiler house of Haydock Social Club, Penny Lane, Haydock. Newton-le-Willows Fire Brigade were quickly on the scene and quelled the outbreak. The prompt action of the policeman saved the building, the roof which was damaged.
