20B George Street.
Town Centre, 04/07/2019.
Credit: Philip Wilkinson.
20B George Street (the end house in the alleyway leading to The Raven) is associated with: Mother Magdalen Taylor of: The Poor Servants of the Mother of God who in 1882 founded the first Providence Free Hospital in George Street. Being too small they were provided with Hardshaw Hall that later became the Providence Free Hospital in Tolver street before it shut in the 1980's.

20B George Street
My Grandfather and Grandmother lived here, just after marrying back in 1912, before moving to College Street where my mum was born.
Thank you for posting this photo, It brought back so many memories, I also have photos before it was boarded up .
