Arthur Burns of Wargrave Road was an Air Mechanic 1st Class in the Royal Flying Corps and served in the First World War. He died on 24th March 1916 and is buried in Newton-le-Willows Cemetery, His name is listed on the Newton-le-Willows and Earlestown War Memorial.
